Get tips and news from the AskElephant team straight to your inbox every week.

Break up with Fathom and let AskElephant help you work smarter, not harder.

So, you’ve decided it’s time to part ways with Fathom. Maybe you crave more than just a transcript, or maybe you just want to see what all the AskElephant buzz is about. Either way, you’re ready to uninstall Fathom and start fresh. Don’t worry—I’ll guide you through it. Many of our customers switch from Fathom to AskElephant, so now I'm a pro.

Step 1: Prepare for the Uninstall Ceremony

First, take a moment. Light a candle. Play some dramatic music. You’re not just uninstalling an app—you’re, hopefully, making space for something better.

Step 2: Close Fathom (Gently)

Before you can uninstall, make sure Fathom isn’t running. Give it a gentle pat on the back and say, “It’s not you, it’s…actually, it is you.” Then close the app.

Step 3: Uninstall Fathom (The Main Event)

On Windows:

  • Click the Start menu.

  • Type “Add or remove programs” and hit Enter.

  • Scroll down to find Fathom.

  • Click it, then select Uninstall.

  • Follow the prompts.

On Mac:

  • Open your Applications folder.

  • Find Fathom.

  • Drag it to the Trash.

  • Empty the Trash. (Bonus points for a dramatic flourish.)

Browser Extension:

  • Open your browser’s extensions or add-ons page.

  • Find Fathom.

  • Click Remove or Uninstall.

Step 4: Celebrate Your Freedom

Congratulations! Take a moment to bask in your newfound freedom. Maybe treat yourself to a cookie. Or two. You deserve it.

Step 5: Welcome AskElephant Into Your Life

Now that you’ve cleared out Fathom, it’s time to let AskElephant work its magic. Unlike Fathom, AskElephant doesn’t just summarize meetings—it helps you build relationships, hand off context between teams, and turn conversations into actions. It’s like having a super-intelligent, context-savvy assistant who never forgets a thing and always has your back.

Uninstalling Fathom isn’t just about freeing up space. It’s about upgrading your workflow and embracing a tool that actually helps you move the needle. So go ahead, make the switch. Your future self (and your team) will thank you.
