You were in a meeting recorded with AskElephant

Last updated: August 20, 2026

AskElephant is a tool that records and transcribes meetings and uses AI to write summaries of them. If a meeting you attended was recorded using AskElephant, this page explains what happened and what you can do about it.

01

Who recorded it.

Not us. The organization that set up the meeting chose to record it, and they decide why it was recorded and how long it is kept. In data protection terms they are the controller; we process the recording on their instructions.

02

What was captured.

Audio and video of the meeting, a written transcript, who spoke and when, your name and business contact details if they were available, and an AI-generated summary. Anything said aloud in the meeting is in the transcript.

03

What we do not do.

We do not use meeting content to train AI models. We do not analyze your emotions, sentiment or tone of voice. We do not sell meeting content or share it with anyone other than the organization that recorded it and the service providers listed in our privacy policy.

04

What you can ask for.

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to it being processed. The fastest route is the organization that convened the meeting. If you would rather come to us, or you do not know who to contact:

Email privacy@askelephant.ai

Or contact our EU or UK representative, Prighter, at support@prighter.com

We will acknowledge your request and pass it to the relevant customer where we are acting on their behalf. We aim to respond within one month.

05

Complaints.

You can complain to your local data protection authority at any time.
